Testing the Nikwax Care Kit was made easy by John our Sales Manager, as he hadn’t cleaned his Alpinestars leather jacket for at least 3 years!
That was the perfect opportunity to try our leather care kit that we sell here for £19.99.
As you will see on the pictures, the jacket was really dirty and covered in dead flies. The white colour was literally grey.
First, John used the spray cleaner on his jacket to remove stubborn dirt, grease, mould and insects without leaving any residues. You can use a soft brush if necessary. And the best thing about this product is that you can use it on leather accessories such as panniers or car seats for example.
Once he was done with the cleaning, John used a leather restorer and sprayed it onto his jacket. This is a great product to restore the leather and add water repellency to the gear.
It took John no more than half an hour to clean and restore his leather jacket (and he had a lot of work to do on it, trust us!).
The kit also contains a sponge-on waterproofing for footwear that will protect walking, motorcycle, work and sports footwear; a visor proof treatment to make water or snow run off visor easily and a sponge-on waterproofing for gloves, ideal to maintain palm grip in wet conditions.
